It all started in 2023, when Lodewijk and his wife Florien were looking for a new warehouse for the Dutch bicycle brand Adam Bike. Walking through an empty warehouse, which was too big for only bicycles, they started dreaming of all the things they could do with the space. Lodewijk envisioned an inspiring space where guests get together for a coffee, catch up on work, enjoy a lunch with friends or can host events. Having three kids on their own, Lodewijk wanted to create an establishment where family life smoothly overlaps with professional life.
The LoLo House was born!
With less experience in F&B but with a great passion for hospitality and design, Lodewijk & Florien started making plans for the lay-out of the warehouse. Cozy reading corners, high seating options, a big coffee bar and meeting rooms for workshops and events. Lodewijk & Florien imagined an interior with European style furniture and details, creating a living room vibe. Every corner of The LoLo House was carefully thought out.
Once the hurdle of acquiring the appropriate licenses were overcome, renovations could finally start! During the renovations a lot of choices were made. Hiring a new team, designing the furniture, what coffee will be served and a lot more.
After 5 months of renovations, everything came together and The LoLo House could finally open its doors!
